Exercise 2-2C: Sources in the Social Sciences

Follow the directions below to explore sources in this discipline. 

Choose a topic you would like to research for your Unit 2 project. Then, search for that topic in at least three different types of databases listed in the table on page 21. Compare what kind of information you find in each source. Then, share your findings with your group. What kinds of sources were easiest for you to understand? Which ones seemed most in-depth? Most credible? 

Based on your results, come up with some recommended search tools and strategies for your Unit 2 project. Write your recommendations as though they were for a peer in the course.
