Exercise 1-2A: Freewriting
Try it out:
- Set a timer for five minutes.
- Start writing. It does not matter what you write, only that you write something.
- Write everything that comes to your mind–don’t filter anything.
- When time is up, take a two minute break and play a game on your phone.
- Return to what you wrote and look for words, ideas, or connections that might be good places to start researching or writing more.
- Repeat as many times as you want or need .
